Instead of posing any threat to other countries, the booming Chinese economy has contributed a lot to the world by providing more business opportunities, employment and capital appreciation, according to Liao Junqiao, executive chairman of the World Chinese Entrepreneurs General Association.

"As one of the world's largest manufacturing bases, foreign companies can, for example, sell their high technologies to China and increase their capital appreciation," he said in an exclusive interview Thursday.

"China has played a unique role in initiating the Zhuhai declaration, which offers a huge business platform for the world," he said.

He believed the declaration will become a new guiding rule for the world's economic development.

As a non-governmental organization which aims at establishing a global economic development framework by integrating overseas Chinese entrepreneurs resources and co-ordinating international business ventures, Liao's association will launch a series of activities to further contribute to the economic enhancement of developing countries.

Liao expected that the Zhuhai Declaration will help hammer out a more optimized international business environment which is more fair and open for them while participating in the global marketplace.
