Safety supervision teams fan out

State Council Saturday dispatched 18 safety supervision teams to conduct strict safety examinations across the country.

The teams, headed by officials from departments under the State Council and the All-China Federation of Trade Unions, will give special attention to the implementation of safety work regulations and measures in local regions, according to official sources.

The teams will concentrate on safety situation in sectors of coal mining, chemical industry, fireworks manufacturing, water and electricity supply and transportation.

State Councilor Hua Jianmin stressed at a national meeting on safety supervision Saturday, that governments at all levels should firmly put accidents under control to create a stable and safe environment for reform and development of China as well as people's life and work.
