Murder suspect shot dead by police in Zhejiang

Police shot dead a man Friday morning after he robbed and killed a woman in
Wenzhou, acity of east China's Zhejiang Province.
Yuan Cheng killed a woman and robbed her of 150,000 yuan, which she had just
taken from a bank, on Wednesday afternoon, the day prior to the Spring Festival.
He then fled.
Police authorities launched a sweeping investigation and focused on Yuan
Cheng, 34, a native of south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, who was
wanted on suspicion of two other murders.
Scores of police searched all the rented houses and hotels in Wenzhou and
finally tracked him down.
Yuan put up desperate resistance and police finally shot him dead on the spot
and confiscated a pistol and 150,000 yuan in cash. Further investigation is
underway.
