Filipino protesters make their way to the
People Power Monument in Manila February 24, 2006. Police used fire hoses
and batons to disperse 5,000 protesters, including nuns and priests, and
arrested three of their leaders near the monument, a shrine that was a
focal point of a 1986 revolt against dictator Ferdinand Marcos and another
in 2001 that ousted Joseph Estrada as president. The protesters fought
