Israeli Venture Association (IVA), Shenzhen Venture Capital Association inked an agreement on venture capital cooperation in science and technology on Friday at the ongoing China Venture Capital Forum 2004.

The forum kicked off on April 2 in Shenzhen, South China's Guangdong Province, convening more than 700 government officials, scholars and professionals from worldwide.

Israeli Science Minister Eliezer Sandberg presented his country's experience in beefing up scientific and technological development through venture investment industries.

He said the move aims to promote exchanges of investment information between venture capitalists, paving the way for the expansion of Israeli venture capitalists to the Chinese market.

Israel will organize delegations to Shenzhen this year. He said he also hoped to see more Chinese delegations in Israel.

He also added more venture capital will flow from Israel to China as the world's most populous country has a huge and lucrative market.

The forum, hosted by the China National Democratic Construction Association, Guangdong Committee of Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and the Shenzhen Municipal government, aimed to woo more venture capital investment to the host city and provide an interaction platform for domestic and overseas investors.
