10月25日，中超聯賽工作會議在河北香河足球基地召開。中國足球超級聯賽有限公司正式成立，此外，確定2006賽季中超聯賽賽程以及恢復聯賽的升降級制度是本次會議的主要議題。據悉，2006年賽季將取消中超杯賽，并計劃擴大足協杯參賽隊數量，將考慮增加部分乙級隊伍參賽。
