12月27日，在全國信息產業工作會議上，信產部部長王旭東表示，2006年世界電信展將在香港舉行，這是首次在日內瓦以外的城市舉辦的電信展，他說，我們要支持香港特區政府，做好協調配合及服務工作，確保展會取得圓滿成功。

Rollout 這個詞意為"首次展示"，專門用來指種新產品的首次公開展覽，或新服務項目或新政策的開創。
比如：The manufacturer's rollout of the new jet is scheduled for next month.（那家飛機制造商生產的噴氣式飛機定于下月首次公開展出。）
