Tom Cruise showed his magnanimous side by sending a gushing good luck message to his ex-wife Nicole Kidman on her wedding day.

The Moulin Rouge! actress wed singer Keith Urban in her native Australia last weekend – and was pleased to receive Cruise's best wishes, despite their acrimonious split after a ten year marriage in 2001.

A source tells the Sunday Mirror, "Tom wished Nicole all the best and was pleased all the troubles between them were over. He also said how much he hoped she finds joy."

Cruise's note was even more of a surprise given that Kidman's spokesperson denied reports her client had sent her congratulations to the Mission Impossible actor's girlfriend Katie Holmes when she gave birth to their first daughter together, Suri, in April.
