Kevin Federline wants to be a film star.

The former dancer, the estranged husband of Britney Spears, has already followed in his wife's footsteps by releasing an album, and now wants to try his hand at acting.

After dining out with his divorce attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan, at Mastro's Steakhouse in Beverly Hills last night (05.12.06), Kevin held an impromptu press conference on the steps of the restaurant.

When asked where he sees himself in a year's time, Kevin replied: "Making movies."

The 28-year-old rapper had clearly tried to smarten up his image - swapping his usual baseball cap, t-shirt and gold chains for a jacket and open-collared shirt.

Kevin is applying for full custody of his and Britney's two sons, 15-month-old Sean Preston and three-month-old Jayden James.

His lawyer Mark Kaplan said: "Kevin is a good person and it is unfortunate that people distort the truth about him without knowing him.

"I believe, if you know Kevin as I do, you would think the world of him."
