About 100,000 cubic meters of rocks and mud rushed down the slope of Ermanshan Mountain of Hanyuan county at around 5 am Tuesday, destroying houses at the foot of the mountain, official said.

Nearly 58 houses were damaged and 4,000 villagers are being relocated out of the area.
