最新一期英國《經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)家》發(fā)表文章稱，盡管政府?dāng)?shù)據(jù)顯示今年美國經(jīng)濟(jì)形勢一片大好，雇員收入平穩(wěn)增加，但調(diào)查表明，絕大多數(shù)美國公民都不相信布什政府的經(jīng)濟(jì)政策已經(jīng)取得如此佳效。一些數(shù)據(jù)表明，最近幾個月，美國經(jīng)濟(jì)形勢喜人，無論是汽車銷量還是房屋銷售額，都有過刷新歷史記錄的情況，工廠也收到了更多訂單。外電報道如下：
Consumer inflation shot up in July as rising gasoline prices pinched
drivers' wallets from coast to coast. But the rest of the economy kept
pushing forward with industrial output rising and housing construction
staying at a supercharged level.
A flurry of reports Tuesday depicted a country that so far is
withstanding this year's surge in energy prices, helped by a continued
boom in housing activity, the economy's strongest sector.
Consumer prices jumped 0.5 percent in July, the biggest increase in
three months, but the price pressures came almost entirely from surging
costs for gasoline and other energy products.
