crackdown表示action taken to stop or discourage a bad
activity的意思，后面一般接介詞on,是"取締，制裁，鎮(zhèn)壓"的意思，如：a crackdown on drunken driving。
crackdown的動(dòng)詞詞組是crack down，兩者意思相同。crack這個(gè)詞的意思很多，如："水杯炸了"可以表示為"The glass
cracked"；"在鍋里打個(gè)雞蛋"就可以說(shuō)成"crack an egg into a pan"；它還有"聲音嘶啞"的意思，"His voice
cracked with emotion."（由于激動(dòng)，他的聲音變得嘶啞。）
