President Hu Jintao has joined in the discussions with the delegates from Shangdong Province who are attending the on-going 11th National People's Congress.
The delegates engaged in animated discussions and made speeches to put forward their ideas and suggestions.
After listening to their views president Hu Jintao stressed the main tasks facing the country. They include changing the mode of economic development at a quicker pace and continuing the modernization of agriculture and development of the countryside. He said it's also important to carry forward the spirit of patriotism and socialism to build a socialist society with Chinese characteristics.
