Wang Fei: Mistletoe 槲寄生，是一種植物的名字。
Fay: Every year, Covent Garden has a big Christmas tree but this year we have the interactive Christmas tree! This tree works by – we get couples, or friends, or whoever, to come up onto the plinth under the mistletoe and we get each of them to hold a bit of mistletoe and when they kiss the tree lights up! It's very magical.
Alice: This Christmas tree is interactive because when two lovers kiss under the mistletoe below the Christmas tree, the tree lights up.

Alice: Well kissing under the mistletoe is a Christmas custom. Mistletoe plants have little white berries. And they're thought to be the seeds of love.

Alice: So kissing under the mistletoe is a symbol of love and romance.

Alice: Ben is very surprised that it sends electricity through the kissers and lights up the tree.
It is interesting, yeah, because I didn't realise that it sent electricity through you to light up the tree.
