The 2014 art admission test for the Beijing Film Academy began in Beijing on February 9, 2014. Each February, China witnesses a rush of applications for performing arts schools, with tens of thousands of students taking exams and demonstrating their performance skills in a process known in Chinese as "yikao". Many Chinese stars graduated from famous arts schools such as the Beijing Film Academy and Central Academy of Drama, including Zhang Ziyi, Tang Wei, Zhang Yimou, Chen Kaige, Zhao Wei and Yao Chen. Here are just a few of this year's applicants.[Photo/icpress]
