China Central Television worked with Anhui Satellite TV to produce Big Yellow Mountain, a six-episode documentary on the magnificent peak Huangshan in East China.
One of the best-loved tourist destinations, the mountain offers stunning beauty in every season.
Beside the four major natural attractions of rocks, trees, springs and the cloud sea, it has also spawned a treasure trove of cultural relics such as calligraphy carved on cliffs and paintings depicting it over centuries.
The documentary will illustrate both the natural and cultural wonders, as well as human-interest stories about those who live and work on the mountain. It will be broadcast on CCTV and Anhui Satellite TV on Jan 20.
