Guo Wei, Vice President of Kaixin
Guo Wei was born in 1975. In 1996, he graduated from the Mass Communication Department at Renmin University with a bachelor's degree.
In the same year, Guo began his journalism career at Xinhua News Agency, serving successively as a journalist, editor, chief editor and director. He later contributed to the foundation of Xinhua News Agency TV Media.
In 2004, he took charge of the establishment and business development of new media at Xinhua, including mobile TV and web TV departments.
Later, he served as executive associate director of Xinhua Video Mobile and deputy general manager of the Audio-Video Center at Xinhua.
In 2010, he joined Kaixin as the company's vice president. Kaixin is a social networking website launched in March 2008; it is the 13th most popular website in China according to Alexa Internet.
