Seminar on securities business held in Xiamen

The Development Research Center of the State Council (DRC) and Japan's Nomura Foundation held a seminar in Xiamen, Fujian province, on May 25, to discuss the role securities business plays in the process of China’s economic development.
Zhang Laiming, vice president of the DRC, gave the opening speech, and Sun Lanlan, director-general of the International Cooperation Department of the DRC, chaired the seminar.
In addition, Japanese experts discussed changes in Japan's securities business during the country's economic transformation.
Other participants also gave speeches at the event, including Ba Shusong, vice director-general of the Research Institute of Finance, Sun Jie, president of China's Assets Management Association, Zhao Min, deputy head of the SFC Investor Protection Bureau, He Jie, chairman of the Shenzhen Stock Exchange's Research Institute, and Lu Gonglu, assistant dean of the Beijing Institute of Securities and Futures. Nomura Foundation's president, Junichi Ujiie, also took part in the seminar and delivered a closing speech.
