Fuzhou Airlines, the first airline company based in Fuzhou city, performed well in the first month following its inauguration.

In November, the airline launched eight routes to the cities of Shanghai, Kunming, Chongqing, Xi’an, Taiyuan, Tianjin, Hefei and Haikou, completing 350 flights, transferring some 45,300 passengers and 306 tons of cargo.

Its passenger load factor reached 78.8 percent while the cargo load factor was 72.4 percent, both above average market levels (74.2%, 64.7%), said the company.

To attract more passengers from the middle and lower markets, Fuzhou Airlines offered 71 percent discounts on tickets on average, about 20 percentage points more than the average.
