Chen Shengyi, 57, the vice-mayor of Longyan city in Fujian province, who took office in January 2012, has been handed over to the provincial authorities because of an investigation into allegations of criminal behavior, the province's Party discipline watchdog reported on its website, on Feb 11.

Chen was detained by the Fujian Commission for Discipline Inspection, on Jan 21.
