An international food festival took place in Quanzhou, Fujian province, from Nov 7-8.

The festival was a warm-up event for the 14th Asia Arts Festival, which is to be held in the city from Nov 8 to 15.

The two-day event displayed various delicacies from 14 countries and regions around the globe, including those from the US, Mexico, Chile, Brazil, Spain, Russia, Greece, Syria, Thailand, Indonesia and Hong Kong. Quzhou's distinctive snacks were also on show for visitors to sample at the festival.

The event was aimed at enhancing communication between Quanzhou and countries along the Maritime Silk Road, specifically in culture and art sectors.
