A station was recently established within Pingtan's traffic management bureau to better handle traffic accident claims in the county.
A BMW collided with an electric car on Wednesday afternoon, April 17, leaving the driver of the electric car slightly injured. After a half-hour of mediation by an insurance staffer, the two parties agreed to compensation terms and went to the station for claim procedures.
The launch of the claim station simplifies insurance procedures and enhances efficiency.
In past cases, drivers would often get confused with sophisticated claims procedures. The injured person has to get a medical bill from the hospital at a county level or above and go through a series of examinations – which take at least two days – to complete the claim.
Now things have changed. If any slight injuries occurred during the accident and both parties have agreed to the cause, they can go directly to the claims station for further claims details.
