Pingtan county in Fujian province is set to tighten supervision of business trips taken by government staff.

Chen Dongrong, deputy director of the Pingtan administrative committee, vowed to end the phenomenon of supposed business trips of Pingtan government officials that were in fact leisure-oriented. He was speaking after participating in a telephone conference during which local governments around China were requested to increase their supervision of government trips and spending.
