A kitesurfing instructor training class opened in Pingtan on July 25.
Eight kitesurfers who want to become future instructors will take lessons in the coming week.
The candidates will obtain an instructor certificate issued by the International Kiteboarding Organization once they pass an exam following the training sessions.
The Pingtan Kiteboarding Association, established in May, is the only agency in China to hold international kiteboarding classes, instructor training courses (ITC) and relative exams. Before, Chinese candidates could only take kiteboarding coaching exams overseas.
The association held its first instructor training class in early July. It will hold another class in Xiamen city from July 30 to Aug 5. Each class recruits only eight candidates.
Grujicic Ignjat from Serbia is the teacher and examiner. He has been kitesurfing for more than 10 years and has significant experience in kiteboarding training.
