A camera crew for Rurality, a documentary program produced by the China Central Television (CCTV) featuring pastoral views across the country, recently came to Pingtan to film a new episode, local news portal ptnet.cn reported on April 10.

The crew members, after preliminary recce, decided to stay at the Baiqing township for a week where they got a close look at local customs, folk architecture and fishing culture.

It is the second time CCTV chose Pingtan for a documentary program. Crew members of Remember the Nostalgia, made an episode last September about the Dongfeng village.

Another TV program crew from Poland came to Pingtan in March to capture Pingtan’s beautiful scenery, cultural traditions and economic development.
