The 4th China Green Expo will be held in Qiannan Bouyei and Miao autonomous prefecture, Guizhou province in 2020, with the news announced at a mobilization meeting held in Duyun city on August 31.
Organized by the National Afforestation Committee, State Forestry and Grassland Bureau, the meeting was attended by officials from afforestation departments across different levels of government, as well as relevant State-owned big enterprises.
During the meeting, attendees reached consensus was achieved on park construction and exhibtion work.
Since starting in 2005, the China Green Expo is held every five years and is considered the highest-level comprehensive national green expo due to its rich content and large influence. It is also a platform to demonstrate industrial achievements and exchange of ecological construction experience.
With the theme of "creating a new picture of mountains and rivers, setting a new benchmark for ecological civilization," the fourth China Green Expo will be the first of its kind to be held in West China, which will advance Guizhou’s green work and green economy.
Recent years have witnessed Guizhou's efforts in blazing new trails in green development, in a bid to generate more benefits for people, through projects such as the National Ecological Civilization Experimental Zone.
