An exhibition hall for the medicine of the Dong ethnic group recently opened in Tianzhu county, Qiandongnan Miao and Dong autonomous prefecture, Guizhou. It is the first of its kind in the country.
Due to the lack of a writing system in the Dong language, the Dong medicinal practices are passed on through oral narratives. Long Zhirong, director of a Dong medicine hospital in Tianzhu, self-raised 1.6 million yuan ($232,879.7) and built the 500-square-meter exhibition hall.

The exhibition hall includes Dong medical theories, medical equipment, an atlas of herbal medicine, prescriptions, medical techniques, famous Dong doctors, medical achievements and more.
In addition, the hall exhibits thousands of herbal medicine specimens, herbal medicine processing equipment, and medicine containers, giving visitors a chance to learn about Dong medicine.
The exhibition hall will serve as a platform for Dong medicine clinical investigators and amateurs to interact, and will also introduce Dong medicine to the world.
