The National Development and Reform Commission held a symposium on an iron and steel industry adjustments for Hebei province, in Beijing, on Jan 18, with Yang Chongyong, executive vice-governor of the province, taking part to explain the industrial restructuring. Also on hand, were officials of national commissions, who praised the province for its achievements in industrial restructuring and showed their support for future improvements.
Yang said the Hebei government considers the iron and steel industrial restructuring very important, and will improve the restructuring programs in line with the suggestions of national commissions.
The China International Engineering Consulting Co, China’s largest engineering consultant, with authorization from the State Council’s State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, will make an evaluation of these projects for submission to the State Council.
