The governor of Hebei province, Zhang Qingwei, met with the GM of the China Power Investment Corp, Lu Qizhou, on March 22, in Shijiazhuang, the provincial capital, to discuss working together in the field of energy, such as thermal, wind, and photovoltaic power, and the city’s heat supply.
Zhang explained that Hebei, which is an industrial power, has great energy demands, but that it is also facing the serious needs for conserving energy and reducing emissions. Its previous cooperation with China Power Investment,
Zhang continued, has contributed a great deal to Hebei’s social and economic development, especially when it was trying so hard to adjust its strategic industrial structure and make optimal use of its resource structure and layout. He said he looks forward to greater cooperation and that the provincial government will do its best to provide a favorable environment for development.
Lu responded by saying that his organization can use all its advantages to take part in Hebei’s social and economic development.
