Work on a new database for underground pipes and civil air-defense projects has begun in Zhangjiakou to identify possible risks cut possible losses. The new system can provide real-time monitoring for the network, which includes water pipes, sewer lines, and gas pipes, to give the departments involved an early warning of possible problems with the pipes and details on the location.
This system, which is expected to be finished in three years, will involve an initial phase this year of project approval, overall inspection of facilities, data collection, and establishment a monitoring center. Data collection has already begun, with about 292 gas, water, sewage, heating, and telecommunications routes having been checked, and 42 possible danger spots discovered and dealt with. The departments involved plan to do inspections frequently and share the information at regular intervals. |
