Manzhouli Border Economic Cooperation Zone

This zone was founded in 1992, with a planned area of 70 sq km, and a construction space of 35 sq km, at a cost of 1.7 billion yuan, as a national development zone.

Its lead industries are timber processing, building materials, and chemical engineering. It contains 372 enterprises, 53 of them large ones, and had industrial added value output of 2.1 billion yuan, in 2009, and taxes of 100 million yuan.
