Electronic music carnival set against a desert backdrop

The Desert Electronic Music Carnival got off to a rousing start in the Engebei ecological zone of Dalad banner near the city of Ordos, on Aug 5, with ethnic Mongolian musicians, rock bands, pop singers, crosstalk performers, and fashion models all on hand to entertain thousands of music fans.
The theme of the 3-day event is "boundless grasslands" and the audience have been asked to join such sports activities as desert badminton, desert yoga, motor racing and many others while they relish the lively performances.
