The Disneyland Line, an extension of Shanghai Metro Line 11, is expected to open to service at the same time as the Shanghai Disney Resort, which is expected to open in Pudong New District late 2015.

The extension starts at Luoshan Road station and ends at Disneyland station at the Disney Resort. The 9.15-km Disneyland Line will use six-car trains and have a maximum speed of 100 km per hour. The first 7.7 km of the line will be overground.

The Metro Line 11 Huaqiao extension has connected Shanghai's Jiading district with Jiangsu's Kunshan. Upon completion of the new extension, Kunshan residents will be able to reach the Disney Resort within two hours.
