A large precision machinery parts manufacturing project, Suruge Seiki (Nantong) Co, laid its foundation in the development zone on March 25. It has a total investment of $200 million.

As the largest foreign-funded precision machinery parts project in the development zone, it is expected to complete construction and go into operation this December. It will have an annual capacity of 30 million precision parts for automatic equipment and generate annual production value of 500 million yuan ($80.4 million).

Misumi Corporation is one of the world's most famous precision machinery parts manufacturers. Its business includes FA parts for automatic equipment, parts for mould, optical parts, and tool consumables. The company finally selected the Nantong development zone after several years of comprehensive study of various factors such as investment environment, logistics and government efficiency from 50 candidates.
