Zhangjiagang seeks talent from overseas

A delegation consisting of several major officials from Zhangjiagang city paid a visit to the US, looking for economic cooperation opportunities and inviting high-level professionals to start businesses in the port city.
During the six-day visit lasting from April 16-21, the delegation led by Zhangjiagang Mayor Yao Linrong exchanged ideas and discussed specific investment plans with several renowned American enterprises, such as Honeywell, through receptions and group visits.
Honeywell plans to invest around $1 billion to build a production base for a series of high-end chemical materials in Zhangjiagang.
The delegation held two talent introduction meetings in Chicago and Silicon Valley. More than 150 professionals in digital technology, bio-medical science, new energy, new materials and manufacturing sectors attended the promotion activities.
