More than 300 grassroots civil servants in departments of the Zhangjiagang city government and Party committee recently attended the first lecture in a series on public administration and political theories.

The organization department of the city’s Party committee and the local human resources and social security bureau are organizing the “Lectures of Zhangjiagang Civil Servants”,and are set to invite renowned experts and scholars of to give lectures and courses to grassroots civil servants. The topics will relate to the key jobs of the local government and issues of social interest and importance

The first lecture was given by Xu Yaotong, a professor at the Chinese Academy of Governance, on the spirit of the “Two Sessions” (the annual sessions of the National People’s Congress and the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference) and current hot topics.
