The section of Qing'an Road between Dong'erhuan Road and Nonglu Road in Zhangjiagang will be closed from April 3 this year to Sept 30, 2021, according to a notice recently released by the city’s traffic police department, as the local government has decided to reconstruct Qing’an Bridge, which was built across the Ergan River in 2002 and spans 79 meters.

The government plans to widen the current two-lane road to relieve increasing traffic congestion.
