Jilin Winter Tourism is booming

Jilin province is sparing no efforts in developing its snow tourism industry as the province had intended to fully develop tourism as one of its pillar industries, along with chemicals and agriculture.
?The provincial government has put together many winter traveling routes with a combination of local culture–including the renowned Winter Fishing in Chagan Lake and Changchun’s Jingyuetan International Vasaloppet Ski Festival–since the beginning of December last year.
Jilin Province received around 2 million tourists during 2014’s week-long Spring Festival holiday, which was a much larger number than that of the previous year.?
?With the infrastructure upgrade in many of Jilin’s scenic spots, particularly for winter tourism, the government is expecting more tourists from home and abroad in the coming Chinese New Year.
