Passerbys were amazed by a 68-year-old folk art expert, Zhou Mengkui, who played with 11 diabolos at the same time on a recreational square under a viaduct in Jilin city, Northeast China’s Jilin province, on March 6.

The 11 colorful diabolos were spinning and buzzing around him like a peacock.

Zhou has been fond of playing diabolos for many years. He challenged himself by increasing the number of diabolos that he plays simultaneously. It has grown from one to 11 after years of exercise.

Diabolo, or kongzhu, known as the Chinese yo-yo, is a typical Chinese toy made of bamboo. It's an art that dates back more than 1,000 years. It has been passed down from the hands of lords and dignitaries to become a household pastime.
