Jilin welcomes Russian border trade delegation

The city of Changchun Jilin province hosted a meeting by the provincial Party secretary, Bayin Chaolu, and the governor, Jiang Chaoliang, with a Russian border trade delegation, on Aug 31, led by Alexander Tsybulskiy, Russia’s deputy minister of economic development.

Bayin Chaolu said that the increase in economic and trade connections with Russia in recent years mean that Russia has become Jilin’s largest overseas investor so that, this past May, Jilin sent a delegation to some investment and tourism activities in Vladivostok and reported that the Russians are warm and friendly people.
Jilin now has big plans for the Hunchun - Vladivostok high speed railway, Hunchun logistics center, and the Rubino universal harbor, which will promote economic and trade exchanges and strategic partnerships with Russia, and have a major impact on economic cooperation and trade in Northeast Asia.
Bayin says he hopes the two countries will see the China-Northeast Asia expo as a good opportunity to increase mutual understanding, their traditional friendship, exchanges, and cooperation and take them to a higher level, with great results.
Tsybulskiy thanked the hosts for the warm reception and said Russia will certainly find new opportunities and ways to help revitalize Jilin province, increase cooperation, and work for common prosperity and development.
