The three-month long Shopping Festival in Qingdao started on Aug 3. It promised consumers generous discounts through various promotion activities, aiming to attract visitors from both home and abroad.

Promotion activities include the Hong Kong Fashion Show, German Products Exhibit, Thailand-Singapore Imported Goods Display, Qingdao International Food Festival, Qingdao Specialty and Snack Promotion, and Qingdao Beauty Salon Festival. There will also be experience tours in Haier Science Museum and Qingdao Beer Museum. In late September, the Qingdao Shopping Festival will also hold the China-Japan-ROK Seafood Cooking Competition.
