The Qingdao International Horticultural Exposition is holding a Mannheim Culture Week in the International Garden from August 22 to 27.

The symphony orchestra from the National Theater, Mannheim, in Germany will perform famous works by Mozart for the visitors. It was formerly known as the Court Orchestra of Carl Theodor, the prince-elector of Mannheim. And the theater which can date back to 1957 is notable for being the oldest local one in Germany.

A pop music group from Amsterdam will also give rock’n’roll performances in the International Garden as part of the Qingdao expo.

Mannheim is a city in the southwestern part of Germany and is the center of the larger densely populated Rhein-Neckar-Dreieck metropolitan region. It is home to many well-known companies, such as Daimler, John Deere and Caterpillar.
