Shanxi will cooperate with Huawei, a global information communications technology (ICT) giant, on developing IT-based services, according to an agreement signed on Jan 22.
The two sides will boost big data, cloud computing, and the internet of things in the province, as well as internet-based government regulation. Huawei will help Shanxi in training IT specialists and advancing intelligent manufacturing.
"Shanxi always attaches great importance to technical innovation and encourages local companies to team up with professional groups and promote industrial transformation," said Luo Huining, a top official in Shanxi.
Ren Zhengfei, CEO of Huawei, claimed that the company will help boost the province's IT industry by furthering cooperation.
Huawei Technologies Co, headquartered in Shenzhen of China, is one of the top ICT providers in the world with offices and research institutions in 100 countries. The company has established end-to-end advantages in telecom networks, devices, and cloud computing services, through innovation and partnerships with other businesses and organizations.
