Argentine tango grew out of the lower class districts of Buenos Aires in the late 19th century to be known throughout the world today. Three days' worth of performances by a dancing troupe headed by Mora Godoy, the most prestigious Argentine tango dancer and choreographer, took place at the Shanghai Oriental Art Center from Dec 31 to Jan 2.
