With the arrival of summer heat, Shanghai Sheshan National Tourist Resort launched its annual summer carnival on July 5 and will run to Sept 1.

A wide range of exciting activities were staged at various tourist attractions in the area such as water carnival, dance show, virtual reality (VR) experiences, water rides and camping.

Spoiler alert! The renowned automobile thrill show is to be launched at Shanghai Happy Valley during the summer carnival. Performers will drive motors inside a sphere with a diameter of only 6.5 meters.
