Shanxi province's public health department reported on April 16 that it will increase its medical operations to help prevent people from catching the H7N9 virus.

According to the report, each of the province's cities are being asked to improve their offices dealing with medical treatment, develop an emergency treatment network, and improve the infectious disease departments, clinics, and isolation wards.

Shanxi's public health department did an inspection recently of sanitation departments and organizations and promised investigations and serious consequence for those that don't take their responsibility seriously.
