Shanxi province is using every opportunity it can get to promote its brands country-wide, so its "Shanxi Brands China Tour" will be making its third stop in Guangzhou, the capital of Guangdong province, Aug 23 – 26, to introduce its unique topography, climate, and interesting agricultural and commercial history.
The provincial government took the province's small-scale operations and low economic position into consideration in organizing the "Shanxi Brands China Tour" to help develop its special industries and promote local specialties across China, with more than 100 items that were used as a royal tribute in the past.
The first two stops of the tour were in Beijing and Hohhot, Inner Mongolia, where its specialties got a great deal of brand awareness, and in the words of one provincial commerce department official,"Some famous brands are in need for Shanxi's products in the condition of market economy".
The Guangzhou stop is loaded with great deal of expectations, thanks to the promotional work of the government and since many enterprises have seen a surprising urge in income as a result, with new agreements and new shops being opened as well.
Shanxi enterprises will use the government support to modernize as fast as possible and promote their brands on a larger scale.
Sun Yuejin, head of the provincial commerce department,?said they should place more importance on brand development, so, the tour will continue on across China over the next few months to do just that.
