The Taiyuan Stainless Steel Industrial Park, in the city of Taiyuan, Shanxi province, was recently added to a list of 20 State-level cyclic transformation demonstration pilots by the National Development and Reform Commission and Ministry of Finance to promote a recycling economy, provide development models, improve competitiveness, and assist green development.

The park has eight projects that are expected to get central government funds of about 600 million yuan ($98.6 million). The industrial park is a new industrialized demonstration base and one of the province’s first group of recycling economy pilots and has adopted a recycling economy mode with preliminary processing, deep processing, equipment manufacturing, and recycling.
