Shanxi's first capsule hotel opened near Taiyuan Station on Jan 6. Each capsule in the hotel measures roughly the size of a single bed and is 1.25 meters in height, which can accommodate one adult. Though small, the capsule has good facilities, with a laptop desk, free Wi-Fi, a ventilating fan, fire extinguisher, smoke detector, television and mirror. Each capsule is enclosed as an individual space by a bamboo curtain. There are 36 capsules in the hotel in an area of around 200 square meters.
Tourists and students are recognized as the hotel’s target costumers.
