Chinese petrolheads have flocked to Datong, Shanxi province for the China International Automobile Culture Festival, which began on Aug 20.
The 16-day festival includes a range of exhibitions and other auto-themed activities.
The presence of famous international brands such as Harley Davidson and BMW has been a big draw for visitors. But what has excited car enthusiasts most is undoubtedly the array of vintage cars on display.
As an important part of Shanxi Provincial Tourism Development Conference, the festival combines the auto-themed activities with cultural programs to promote local tourism and the automobile industry.
A parade of luxurious cars, stunt driving shows, and local folk performances take place to promote regional culture.
A program of amazing performances also runs every evening between 3 pm and 10:30 pm at the foot of Datong's ancient city walls during the festival.
